Some big news coming out of the productivity sphere today as Salesforce has just acquired the social production platform called Manymoon. According to the Manymoon blog, the company presently serves over 50,000 companies with its integration to Google Apps, LinkedIn and the Chrome Web Store.
It appears that, instead of an acquisition of talent, its more a matter of adding value to Salesforce:
Well still be the Manymoon that helps you get work done. The Manymoon team will remain intact and will operate as a separate business within salesforce.com so we can continue our focus on building a great social app that makes our customers more productive and successful every day.
The company states that its free product will still be available and premium features will remain unchanged. We havent yet heard further details on the acquisition, but well let you know as soon as they are available.
